With over a decade of clinical experience in orthotics and prosthetics across Western North Carolina, Amira brings a blend of expertise, creativity, and genuine care to every patient she serves. Her background includes extensive work in pediatric orthotics, cranial remolding helmets, spinal orthoses, lower-extremity bracing, and advanced prosthetic technology.
Amira is trained in Rigo Chêneau principles and holds additional certifications in fitting the Wood Rigo Chêneau scoliotic brace, Boston Brace, Boston Brace 3D, Providence nocturnal scoliosis orthosis, Dynamic Movement Orthoses, and many others. She collaborates closely with Schroth physical therapists to optimize clinical outcomes.
She also holds advanced certifications and experience in cranial remolding orthoses for treating positional plagiocephaly, brachycephaly, and craniosynostosis. Additionally, Amira has expertise in transtibial 3-stage casting techniques and elevated vacuum suspension, along with certifications for microprocessor knees, including the Ottobock C-Leg and Proteor Plié.
Amira’s approach is rooted in education, collaboration, and empowerment. She works closely with physicians, therapists, and caregivers to create seamless treatment plans, ensuring each device—from cranial remolding helmets to highly customized prostheses—is crafted with precision and aligned with each patient’s unique needs.
Amira has a B.S. In Healthcare Administration from the University of Central Florida. She completed her Orthotics and Prosthetics education at Northwestern University Prosthetics and Orthotics Center in Chicago, IL. In her free time, Amira enjoys cooking, listening to and making music and taking long hikes with her family in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina.
